Scottsdale Old Town--Arty And Different

Old West History With Modern Glamour

Army Chaplain Winfield And Helen Scott -Founders Of Scottsdale

Scottsdale Old Town is designed for tourists but it also has some history as well as the usual tacky souvenir shops, some very good art shops in contrast and the usual array of restaurants. Across the Canal you will find the upmarket Fashion Square Mall. The Old Town is off Scottsdale Road around Camelback and Indian Bend. Some of the bronze statues that decorate the streets are excellent. The weather is usually great  even in mid-summer and if you pick your accommodation right there will be an excellent pool to cool off in. Take a hike up Camelback Mountain if you are fit and also McDowell Mountains Gateway park to take in the desert vista's.
