This was an excellent hotel in the city and some ways from the older part of the city but there was a metro Station a short walk away and the train went right into the older historical area and the Grand Market. When in the market try and various sweets and pastries, as they are the best.
If you are catching the Metro you will need an Istanbulkart which you buy from one of the stalls or Kiosks along the streets or at a machine in the station. it has already been loaded with cash but you can top-up in the train station.The hotel can guide you as to the correct procedure.
