SINGING SANDS

Dunhuang is a smaller town in Northwest Gansu Provence of Western China on the southern end of the Gobin Desert and at the cross roads of the ancient Silk Road at the intersection leading to Mongolia and Southern Siberia and also the corridor to what is now called Xian. It is famous for the Singing Sands (Ming Sha Shan) in the Mingsha Mountains some peaks as high as 1,000 metres.It is also famous for the Magao Caves outside of town of the old Silk Road.
An excellent place to stay right at the sand dunes is.
