TOWN OF BOTTLE TREES
Roma is 480 km north west of Brisbane and a town with an interesting history. Apart from its oil and gas history it is a unique town in that it features the bottle tree (Brachychiton rupestre) throughout the town. It is also home of Roma's largest bottle tree and has a Heroe's Avenue of 93 bottle trees plant in 1918 to remember soldiers lost from the area in World War 1.
