STREAKY BAY
THE LOW END OF THE GREAT AUSTRALIAN BIGHT
Streaky Bay is located on the west side of the Eyre Peninsula, 303 km north west of Port Lincoln and 727 km by road from Adelaide. It is an emerging tourist destination with spectacular coastlines, endless beaches, great fishing spots and a vast array of different scenery.
Getting There
Fly from Adelaide to port Lincoln on Qantslink and drive or drive from Adelaide.
Accommodation
We chose the Streaky Bay Hotel Motel which was a standard type motel but clean and had all that was needed.
Things To Do
CAPE BAUER LOOP DRIVE
The Cape Bauer Loop is 35.4 km drive, 3.3 km north of the town (mostly unsealed) but provides some spectacular and rugged coastal scenery. Go to Hallys Beach and the Whistling Rocks and Blowholes for great views.
POINT LABATT SEALION DRIVE
This drive is 128 km on sealed roads . Stop off at Murphy's Haystacks
WESTALL WAY LOOP
This is a 32 km loop with unsealed roads 10 km south of Streaky Bay. Take in Point Westall, Tractor Beach, the Granites ( a surfing beach ) and the Yanerbie Sand Dunes
