It has been around nearly thirty years in the same location in the rough end of Fitzroy Street and still manages to maintain that old Italian feel and service with white jacketed servers that provide excellent service.The brass 'hand' door handles have been there since the start although the facade outside has been covered up which was a positive.

Cafe Di Stasio does Italian food well and the service is great and so too the decor and they do a lunch special at $39.99 that provides two courses and a glass of wine.The normal menu can be expensive and so too the wine but this is excellent value and great quality for the price.if you are looking for a top class Italian restaurant in Melbourne you cannot do much better than Di Stasio
