Stokehouse Upstairs

STOKEHOUSE--CLASSY RESTAURANT WITH BAY VIEWS
July 2017

Stokehouse sits on the St Kilda foreshore with a view to the west over Port Phillip Bay and the St Kilda Beach. The current restaurant is in a new modern building that has retained some of the old atmosphere of the old wooden Stokehouse that sat on the same site before a fire destroyed it about two or so years ago. It is a classy restaurant and the prices reflect the location and the name. Check it out at http://stokehouse.com.au/melbourne/. They also have a lower cost bar and food venue downstairs called Pontoon.

Stokehouse is fine dining and do it well. The ingredients were all very fresh and generally well presented. This is a good place for a special occasion dinner in Melbourne. There is accommodation over the road but the best options are in Melbourne see link and take a tram to St Kilda and walk from there.
