ORGAN PIPES NATIONAL PARK
ON THE EDGE OF MELBOURNE
Just 29 KM from the CBD the Organ Pipes National Park sits off the Calder Highway (opposite the Calder Park Raceway) and at the back of Melbourne Airport. So close to Melbourne yet the COVID 19 situation forced one to visit local places of interest.
Formed a million years ago the organ pipes hang off a cliff over the Jackson River and are the edge of one of the worlds largest lava flows that extend 350 KM to the western border of Victoria.
Worth a visit for some exercise and fresh air (when permissable) following the debacle that is the Victorian Government's mis-management of the Covid 19 crisis.
