EDINBURGH CASTLE
MANY A BLOODY TALE TO TELL
It is one of the most visited tourist sights in the UK and we picked a day when it was at capacity.Built by David 1 in 1130 (as we see it today although there were earlier castles on Castle Rock) . It is the place where for hundreds of years the English and Scottish battled for control and there were many tales of bad deeds, murder and mayhem.Today it overlooks Edinburgh and a must see.
