ALHAMBRA-GRANADA SPAIN

 ALHAMBRA

GRANADA SPAIN

Built in 889 on ancient Roman ruins it was converted to a palace in 1333 and occupied by Yusef I Sultan of Granada. When the Christains took over in 1492, Ferdinand and Isabella moved in and enjoyed the gardens and views. It is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. The old town just below the castle is very interesting and also worth a visit. It is old and 'rustic' and had some interesting bars and restaurants.
