Maddens Commerical Hotel is an older renovated hotel and fairly typical of country hotels in its decor and service. The Bistro menu ( open Tuesday to Sunday for lunch) looked fairly typical and they had gone to some effort to promote their meals including take-way.The positives were large volume meals but the quality was just not great.The fish and chips were over-large chuncks of what appeared to be a white fish like cod in greasy thick batter sitting on soggy chips and the usual mess of green salad. Wine prices were average but the range was limited. Service was prompt and friendly. Overall, a disappointing lunch.
A good place to sray in Camperdown .
