The Bistro is classy and one of the better set-up's for a country pub and deserved its stated 'Gastro-pub status. No pay at the counter here as there was professional and friendly table service. The menu was fairly standard of a pub and the food itself did not go beyond good but was a pleasant , reasonably priced lunch. Wine prices were satisfactory and the range and prices acceptable.
A good place to stay in Sale and close to the Croterion was.
