SWAN HILL PIONEER SETTLEMENT-SWAN HILL VICTORIA

 SWAN HILL PIONEER SETTLEMENT

LIFE ON THE MURRAY RIVER

1830-1930

Swan Hill Pioneer Settlement

The Swan Hill Pioneer Settlemet was establihed  in 1963 as the Swan Hill Folk Museum and  was changed to the current name in 1970. It covers history on the Murray river from 1830 -1930  and has some 50 replica buildings, two 19th century river boats and numerous old tractors and antique vehicles. You can spend at least half a day here and it is suggested you stay in Swan Hill. This is one of the better and more interesting historic villages and worth a visit.
