Rainbow Bridge National Monument-Magnificent

RAINBOW BRIDGE NATIONAL MONUMENT

The Rainbow Bridge National Monument was found only some 100 years ago was proclaimed a National Monument by President William Taft in 1910. Access is usually by tour boat from Page although the the bridge is some 50 miles up Lake Powell and is actually in Utah.

The Bridge is Isolated And The Map Shows Its Location

The bridge is 234 feet high and 42 feet thick at the top.The scenery walking in from the canyon where the  tour boat stops is beautiful as is the area around the canyon entrance on the lake itself.
