Use Karratha as your base to explore Millstream Chichester National Park and stay at:
From Karatha take the road south and follow the iron ore train lines (from Mt Tom Price to Dampier) until you get to Python Pool and the Chichester area and then go further south east to Millstream. The diversity of scenery is amazing from barren hills to rocky cliffs along a river to the tropical oasis in Millstream. The road is sealed for 100 kilometres and then a good dirt track but go in winter when it is sunny and around 25 degrees.
