Morningto Pier

Mornington is some 55 KM south of Melbourne and is the gateway to the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. Mornington is a great base for visiting the coast, the wineries and restaurants.The Mornington Harbour , Pier and beach area is also excellent and worth a visit. When in Morningto be sure to visit the harbour and Mornington Pier. The pier was completed in 1857 and was the home for some years to at least 15 fishing boats and a steam ferry operated between Melbourne and Mornington for passengers and goods at least twice a week.
