The oldest continuously inhabited city in Central Asia-Also on the Silk Road
Samarkand today is two cities, the old city and the new developed by the Russians and both distinctly different.
We stayed in a small 'boutique' hotel called
It was close to the historical center of Samarkand and very convenient, spotlessly clean and the people pleasant.
