Phoenix's South Moutains--A Little Different Desert

PHOENIX SOUTH MOUNTAINS

    HOW TO GET THERE    

          From Sky Harbor take 16 South , right on E Dobbins Road and left on S Central Avenue, a total of 10 miles. From the Marriott Phoenix Resort at the Buttes go south on 48th and right on Baseline and left on S Central Avenue, a total of 10 miles. The Marriott is 3.9 miles form Sky Harbor.

COMMENTARY

The South Mountains cover some 16,000 acres and are more barren and less spectacular than the McDowells but definitely worth a visit. It is Arizona so it cannot be too bad.
