MUSLIM FOOD STREET XI'AN CHINA

 MUSLIM FOOD STREET

XI 'AN

Whereas most people visiting Xi'an head for the Terrracotta Warriors, the Muslim area  (Huiman Jie) of the city and specifically the Muslim Food Street. You will find the street (more than one) just behind the Bell Tower which can be visited via the Metro (Line 2 ) and exit at Zhonglou (Bell Tower) station. Use Exit B.According to the available information there are some 20,000 Muslims in this area of Xi 'an  and at least ten mosques. A walk through the various streets will provide an encounter with foods and an atmosphere unlike anywhere else.

We stayed at the Westin Xi 'an as this is the pick up  point for the Airport Bus and it is a good part of the city with a Metro nearby.
